Characterization of Nanomaterials in Foods

چکیده
14 Electron microscopy is a recognized standard tool for nanomaterial characterization, and 15 recommended by the European Food Safety Authority for the size measurement of 16 nanomaterials in food. Despite this, little data have been published assessing the reliability of 17 the method, especially for size measurement of nanomaterials characterized by a broad size 18 distribution and/or added to food matrices. This study is a thorough investigation of the 19 measurement uncertainty when applying electron microscopy for size measurement of 20 engineered nanomaterials in foods. Our results show that the number of measured particles 21 was only a minor source of measurement uncertainty for nanomaterials in food, compared to 22

متن کاملHydrothermal Synthesis, Characterization, Optical Properties of Lithium Meta- and Disilicate Nanomaterials and Theoretical Calculations
Highly crystalline and pure lithium metasilicate (Li2SiO3) and lithium disilicate (Li2Si2O5) nanomaterials were synthesized by hydrothermal method and characterized by PXRD technique. The changes in the morphology and particle size of the synthesized nanomaterials with reaction time were investigated using SEM technique. The UV-Vis and photoluminescence spectra of the compounds were studied. Th...

متن کاملLu3+/Yb3+ and Lu3+/Er3+ Co-doped Antimony Selenide Nanomaterials: Synthesis, Characterization, Electrical, Thermoelectrical and Optical Properties
Lu3+/Yb3+ and Lu3+/Er3+ Co-doped Sb2Se3 nanomaterials were synthesized by a Co-reduction method in hydrothermal condition. Powder XRD patterns indicate that the LnxLn′xSb2-2xSe3 Ln: Lu3+/Yb3+ and Lu3+/Er3+ crystals (x= 0.00-0.04) are isostructural with Sb2Se3. The cell parameters were increased for compounds upon increasing the dopant content (x). SEM and TEM images show that Co-doping of Lu3+/...
